Brad , thats a combination of the flash and the SUNSHINE SHINING through the windows.

Mal,
same colour as my overalls, glad they gave you the inspiration for the paint.

I was going to mention your overalls but then rememberd they were pink. Of course nothing wrong with that, I suppose

Faded red overallls actually, you can borrow them if you want, your colour co-ordinate with the paint job as they are darker at the back

Mal wins Club 'Best Restoration' Trophy 2012
I am pleased to say the Club has awarded Mal our trophy for the 'Best Restoration of 2012'.
As its a bit too far to pop over to Stratford on Avon from New Zealand, Rosemary Smith kindly agreed to accept the award on Mal's behalf.
Very well done!!

Not only did I get honoured once for the trophy but I had Rosemary Smith accept it on my behalf, so I was honoured twice.
Nice cerificate for the garage wall too.

Your car is looking great Mal. What are the two holes in the boot floor for please as I have them on my car and couldnt work out why? (I presumed they were something to do with a towbar that was fitted but now I have seen your car I am glad I havent welded them up yet

)

Thanks Ash, I think the holes are for the jack clips. They were not there when I bought the car, so I have to find a jack , handle and clips. I presume the same jacks were used for most Rootes group cars.

Now I am confused (which is not hard). My car has the jack and clips which were fastened to the boot floor with small self tapping screws along the rear panel to the right.
I think these holes are drilled for another reason?

Nice work so far, but why are you mounting the rear bumper in the boot?
Keep them coming Mal, one day mine may be in paint.
