last Time at the drag strip

Post by Twin Turbo Tiger » Fri Dec 23, 2011 5:03 pm

Last Race of the Year was in Houston, Tx at the NMRA/NMCA finals.
We did the True Street Event where you have to drive 30 miles and when you come back you can't open the "bonnet" or the trunk and then make three back to back passes, alot hard then it sounds.
We won the 10sec class with a three run average of 10:10 :D
On Sunday we qualifed 4th in the quick 16 heads up race. We took 3rd with a 9:70@143.
Surpised a lot of people and the event people thank me for bring the car out, they said it was the coolest car on the property and I told them it was the fastest one on the property(the only one)

So Tony, thats your target to beat in June at Shakespere drag meet!
Very impressive figures for a road going car that looks standard.

It's just Bob winding me up, my car is as standard as it left the factory. Bob is the one who has 500bhp to play with now that he's finally sorted his supercharger - though, wouldn't wanna be a passenger there....

Sure Mrs T won't mind, just give me the time and place and I'll be there!

...gotta be a "once in a lifetime experience" to ride in a Tiger running less than 10 seconds for the Q mile.

Do you have a passenger seat :?:

Of course it has a pass. seat and even has a radio and blinkers :)
If you ever get on this side of the pond I would love to give you a ride you would really be surprised how docile the car is on the street and runs on reg pump gas. 8)
