Re: Brads Tiger

So the new windscreen hood catches have a slightly different profile and they wouldn't fit my catches, wasn't expecting that but soon sorted out. Trial fit https://www.dropbox.com/s/mhyo4hz6zn2tyef/IMAG7008.jpg?dl=0 Fitted, https://www.dropbox.com/s/w06f6acjrzv6rq7/IMAG7033.jpg?dl=0 i used self tapp...

Anyway that's on hold for the moment as one of the windscreen catches exploded under tension. :( So moved on to the diff pinion seal which i saw was leaking when i did the exhaust, lots of agro getting the nut off ended up as...

Re: Tiger Front Cross Member

No idea but from what i've seen of Jensen welding it was done by a blind man. :?

Re: Brads Tiger

Looking at it again, i think that section just flops over and is held in place by the 1/4 hood bin?

Re: Brads Tiger

Can anyone post a photo of how the soft top goes around the hood bins nearest the seats, i've seen videos where they say don't screw that section to the hood with the smaller ali extrusions but they don't have hood bins?

Re: Brads Tiger

Exhaust in, just need to check for clearances before final tightening. https://www.dropbox.com/s/dsn74urxumcp6xg/IMAG6975.jpg?dl=0 Some of the tube sections were not quite perfectly round after welding so this tool sorts it all out. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3zote1xl3e3c9bd/IMAG6974.jpg?dl=0 I was w...

Re: Brads Tiger

Thanks sent them an email. Bit of progress, a bit of a set back and a bit sideways. Exhaust all cut and tacked up. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ibyz60q7710m71a/IMAG6944.jpg?dl=0 One of the reversing lamps blew its bulb so i have to take out the fuel transfer pipe to get to the fasteners for that, think...

Re: Brads Tiger

Now i've got the seats in just as i suspected the Irving chute seat belt buckles are not in the right place, this is due to them being stitched at the buckle rather than sliding, so they will need adjusting, can anyone recommend a seat belt company? https://www.dropbox.com/s/xaun2anisgeqqwh/Irving%2...

Re: Brads Tiger

Nothing left to fit now too prevent first start up, first time since 1972 i believe.

Steering, front brakes, soft top, wheels and tyres, and seat belts left to do now.

Re: Brads Tiger

Rear section tacked in without any pie cut sections, front to do next and that's going to be tricky with the X member cut out.

I used wood spacers to ensure the pipes are parallel with the boot floor.

You have to ask for the convex ones, no extra charge though.

Re: Brads Tiger

Started on the exhaust, bit of a head warp but going slowly, measure 5 times cut once. First off was to make sure all the brackets fitted which they didn't. https://www.dropbox.com/s/juh8wf7yls83is9/IMAG6917.jpg?dl=0 Then starting from the rear heading forwards, i'll chop the tail pipes to length la...

Re: Stadium Type Mirrors

I fitted some, see page 35 of my thread.

You can get them with flat or convex glass brand new from Halcyon classic parts.
