TIGERS IN ANGLESEY

Kevin Cooper and Adrian Mossop of Rumbar Racing took the Classic and Sportscar V8 class honours at the New Anglesey Circuit last weekend - 2/3rd June.

Not only did the duo win the class both days on the Coastal and the National circuit but came 4th overall on the Saturday race and a podium 3rd overall on the Sunday race.
The Tiger, a 1964 V8 260 cu in, has been having some suspension and tyre tweeks over the winter which after testing at the Welsh circuit have proved to be successful.

Cooper who drove the car first in both races out dragged the competition off the startline with the traditional V8 tiger grunt. After wrestling the car into it comfortable position 3 rd overall and first in class ahead of TVRs, Mustangs and a Camaro, Cooper handed the bright orange Sunbeam to Mossop who brought the car home safely with no drama.

The result puts Kevin Cooper in a commanding lead of the Classic and Sports Car Swinging Sixties Championship following his 2ndin class at Brands Hatch 3 weeks ago.
