Nail biting stuff on the last day of the Pirelli Marathon Rally. Top spot has been nicked, just, by a 911 but Tigers are in the next three places:

1st Overall - Charles Colton & Guy Woodcock - Porsche 911 - Total Penalties = 2.38

2nd Overall - Jayne Wignall & Kevin Savage - Sunbeam Tiger - Total Penalties = 3.03

3rd Overall - John Abel & John Dennett - Sunbeam Tiger - Total Penalties = 3.36

4th Overall - John Korrison & Peter Rushforth - Sunbeam Tiger - Total Penalties = 3.38

5th Overall - Mark Godfrey & Sue Godfrey - MG MGB - Total Penalties = 4.41

Top job by the Tigers that pretty well cleaned up the 2013 Pirelli Marathon. We should all congratulate the team for coming 2nd; 3rd and 4th in probably the toughest classic rally of modern times.

Pity that the 911 got in the way of a clean sweep but I'm sure Jayne and the two John's are well puffed up by this result; probably still partying as I write!!

Xtremely well done by them all!!!

1st Overall - Charles Colton & Guy Woodcock - Porsche 911 - Total Penalties = 2.57

2nd Overall - Jayne Wignall & Kevin Savage - Sunbeam Tiger - Total Penalties = 3.28

3rd Overall - John Korrison & Peter Rushforth - Sunbeam Tiger - Total Penalties = 4.01

4th Overall - John Abel & John Dennett - Sunbeam Tiger - Total Penalties =

Will post some photos tom.

Here are a few bits just to underline the great success of the Tigers on this rally:

'Team Tiger' also took the top Team award...the cream on the top!!

Be nice if at least couple of us could add their congratulations to Club members Jayne Wignall, John Korrison, John Abel!!

Well done to Jayne, Mr Korrison and Mr Abel

Sterling effort chaps and chapeses :!:

Looking forward to seeing their reports in CATS Whiskers for ordinary members to appreciate their experiences.

Pirelli Classic Marathon is featured on Motors TV TONIGHT (Friday 16th August) at 10 p.m.

If anyone feels able to record the footage to a DVD and to send it to me I'll owe you a couple of beers!
