Not quite, not yet but it will be, the NS front wing is badly out of shape from blasting & distortion from when the repair section was badly welded in. It probably will be a new wing, but i'm going to have another go at bashing it with hammers & dollies again.

There are a lot of bumps to sort out & some minor corrosion in the rear wings plus a bit of accident damage from when the car caught fire & the driver made a hasty exit offroad. The OS sill is an example of this, plus some grounding marks on the chassis.

As an aside, does anyone know where i can get steel LAT bonnet scoops & vents?

Hi Brad,

I wouldn't bother trying to modify your current bonnet, buy one of the fibreglass ones. If your bonnet is in good condition, I wouldn't cut it up. Weren't there some for sale recently from Tony was it?

Regards, Robin.

Must admit the plastic ones (a bit flimsy yes) are relatively simple to make fit (I used a specialist  ) and cheap. Main advantage is that they do save a lot of weight at the front end.

Somebody pinched a picture of my car for them eBay listings, it's not me selling them Robin - I'm no dealer 8) 8)

Anyone know what this dribble fest of weld around the oval opening is supposed to be?

OK Gents,
by popular request here is the tank design.

1. Big non conductive tank.
2. 1 Sheet roofing lead.
3. Low amp battery charger
4. Box of cheap washing machine powder.
5. +Ve to the lead, -Ve to the item to be cleaned.
6. Switch on & check in 24hrs.

Ihave read that a series of reo steel rods around the tank is ok. Re the fluid, washing soda has the right PH and is non toxic. I also recommend running your battery cxharger via a battery. The resultant charge into the drum can be regulated. I have also read its best if the leads from the power supply are above the liquid. EG the doner metal protudes above the fluid and the receiver item is suspended into the medium via a metallic object (chain links) and a neutral beam maybe a wooden one accross the drum.

The beam method does work, but then so does just connecting them to a wire & chucking them in the tank, if you use double insulated wires. I've used this method on 4 cylinder blocks & it works fine.

The battery connected direct will work, but it'll be a lot more powerful, i prefer the slower method of a charger, i have plenty of time.
