Another Tiger on Ebay

Post by Julian » Mon May 30, 2011 3:44 pm

Does anyone know anything about this car?
I did send the seller a message but no reply.

Tiger on ebay

Post by tigerman7347 » Mon May 30, 2011 6:18 pm

Hi julian, this tiger belonged to a young guy in Plymouth ,who was killed in an accident at workpossible 2 years ago. I gather his wife has put it on ebay. But I would ask Graham Vickery as the last time I spoke to him (April) he did mention it was coming on ebay.

It used to belong to Alan Bedford, who worked with Dean. Was a rumour it might be an Alger. Very quick car though.

It looks nice. You've got to have a big personality to have a car like that.

You do seem to get a lot for your money and if it's all legit, that's the lowest mileage Tiger I've seen in my short Tiger career.

Just so everyone has the link:

this is the car that appeared in RETRO cars with a blue Tiger around 2004, IIRC it may have also been on ebay about 1-1.5 years later.

I notice that its quite comon on ebay auctions in the UK not to show the cars VIN. As a side note there is this tiger on ebay classified in the UK too:

Just had a quick read of the e-Bay auction... I find it very odd that it's stated to have a Muncie transmission... quite possibly a mistake as I'm not even sure if there is any adapter available to bolt a Muncie to a SBF !!

I thought it looked familiar... that unmistakable yellow Tiger with the 347 stroker. I heard a rumour of a yellow Tiger coming to Australia a while back, not sure if it was this one (not many about though).

Hi Brad,

As the seller states and can also be seen in the pictures, the car is in need of a restoration desperately. The seller also states that all parts are boxed up, so hopefully it is complete. Without looking at it closely it is hard to assess what is a fair price. If all the parts are in good condition with the body also in good condition, I think 10-15,000 pound isn't unreasonable (maybe even more) considering what a restored Tiger is worth.

Regards, Robin.

Hi Brad, there is a thread going about this car.

http://sunbeamtiger.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=874

I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but personally, if i was going to bid on it, I'd want to see it in the flesh and see exactly what else you got with it and what condition it was all in.

Hi to all members. i am a new member to this forum site, also Thanks for your interest in my Tiger, it has helped me to promote the value of this Tiger auction. There has been so many phone calls to date and there is over 90 watchers on this car already, I am the owner of this Tiger restoration project on ebay, if you are you interested?. Give me a call, my number is 07956 435042, this is a rare chance to buy a virgin Tiger that needs restoring, what better way to own one of these cars and have the opportunity to build it yourself and know that the car will be in first class condition. when finished

Hi Sodastrip,
i am one of the many watchers of your Tiger & am interested in it, could you email me doginafrog@fastmail.fm with some idea of the condition of the bodywork & the parts already stripped as i am unable to view the car before the auction ends.
Thanks
Brad
