Front Crossmember Dimensions

Post by Straff99 » Tue Feb 05, 2019 12:53 pm

Hi All

I'm restoring the ex Patrick Watts Tiger rally car. Over the years, the car has met a few immovable objects and now the chassis legs and cross member don't fit each other very well! Several repairs have been carried out over the years and the chassis appears up on one side compared to the other and the wheelbase differs from side to side. Unfortunately, the cross member is not straight, either, and this will cause us problems on the jig in ensuring that all are correct

I've bought a chassis dimensions paper from the US but that won't be here for a while and I don't think it includes the cross member. Has anyone got a straight cross member that we can measure please? I'm in the Sheffield area but I'm happy to travel in the UK.
