Pleased to say the '8' LM Tiger did very well in qualifying for the RAC 'TT'. Ran 1st for a bit, then 3rd for the first session in the hands of Chris Beighton, finishing 6th on the Grid for tom's race.

Sunday morning meeting point (for those wanting to) is at the Anglesey Arms, Halnacker http://www.angleseyarms.co.uk/ 8.00 am sharp.

I shall have with me copies of 'The Tiger50 Book' for ordered collections and boot sales plus a box of celebratory 'TIGER50' crystal blocks for sale.

Looks like it finished for once. 8th not too bad in such a competitive field.

BEST RESULT EVER FOR THE '8' LISTER LE MANS TIGER IN THE REVIVALS CELEBRATION 'TT'
THE BLUE RIBBON RACE OF 2014

A SENSATIONAL RESULT FOR THE TIGER IN ITS 50th ANNIVERSARY YEAR

There were a few 'joy riders' in a very eventful 'TT' this year!

The '8' Tiger started 6th dropped back to 9th by lap 12 when Ludovic Caron took his Cobra onto the grass past the pits and ended up in the tyre wall at Madgwick.
25 mins in the Pearson '16' lightweight E type pirouetted coming out of the Woodcote chicane and almost collected Chris Beighton (as seen in Bob's clip) but ending
without contact. This brought on the safety car and pandemonium in the pits as the grid all went for the driver change. Somehow out of this chaos Matt Neal emerged 6th o/a.
There was a fair bit of nudging going on especially by the '50' E type (finished 3rd) but the cameras mainly stuck on Matt Neal and his tail, the '66' Cobra of reigning
BTCC champion Andrew Jordan - two BTCC champions caught the director's eye. Matt kept himself in front in the 'battle for 7th' over a several finishing laps but somehow
- beyond sight - Jordan pushed past the '8' car on the penultimate lap and the '8' car finished 8th!!

Huge congratulations to Chris Beighton, Tony Eckford and Matt Neal

Loved the casual one handed steering. Has he sneaked in an electric power system?
Lucky there was no impact at chicane.

Now you say that Bob, it does look as if he has power steering in place. Bit of a cheat that

Looked a nightmare for Beighton to handle as the Tiger wasn't happy when the power was applied in the corners. Looked a proper handful. Looks like fun also. Think these race car drivers have a lot of experience and respect, which is probably why they end up so close to each other but without touching. Very impressive to watch.

Good to see the lap times are getting quicker every year for the Lister Tiger, should be competitive without the reliability issues!!
