Tiger wanted **FOUND**

Post by Ash » Wed Mar 31, 2010 9:33 am

If anyone out there has a genuine Tiger under a sheet they are not using which requires some restoration or recommissioning I may be very interested in buying it? Anything considered.

Many thanks

Thanks Gary, I ideally want a car I can get the pleasure of restoring but if I cant find one I may look at finished cars?

Indeed Gary there are a few examples and demand remains strong. Seems that investors are still tucking away "top-end" classics making new "highs" and that's feeding down through to "bread and butter" classics. However, because of Carroll Shelby's original involvement there seems to be stronger interest now from the US.

The poor man's Cobra is certainly finding renewed interest.

Oddly enough, when helping out on the STOC stand at the NEC last year nearly 90% of enquiries were from "true" enthusiasts looking for information on where and how best to buy a Tiger...........

..........the other 10% were from past owners of Tigers who regretted selling

thats interesting ,i must say having 2 tigers ,i would sell my mk2 before my mk1 ,the mk2 is a lovely car ,but i get more enjoyment from mk1,sold my other tiger earlier this year and wish i had kept it.

Red Race Tiger

most desirable

In my humble opinion the very early production Mk1's with B/W T10's and Black Vinyl Dashes have got to be the nicest, lead filled seams, round corners, stainless trims and care in production prior to cost cutting with Chrysler. :)
