SPAMMERS

The Forum has been bombed the past few days (of October) by robot spammers. It had been hoped to keep the forum 'public' but 'banning' tools get worked around by spammers using multiple URL's. So "Forum Problems" and "Rootes & Jensen History" have been altered so that only 'registered users' may post to them. Hopefully the other segments can be left 'public' for now.

recommend making forum for registered users only graham - there's a few rogue posts in the Sunbeam Tiger forum

To all users of the STOC Message Board / Forum.
Making all the Forums only updatable by Registered Users bar the main Sunbeam Tiger index has not zeroed 'spam' posts. So reluctantly the main index has also been changed today - 26th January - so that only Registered Users can make posts from now on.
So if you haven't signed up yet, get typing!

I've traced this pest to a US site, which does sell what it spams - mattresses - but its too far for me and 'me mates' to 'visit'!!
The subject matter it is harmless, thankfully.

Seems to be happening again... you have a good run then someone spoils it!!
