THINKING PINK
If I can trust the various details supplied to the "Registry" by the current owner, the "Playboy" Tiger (B9470457 LRXFE) was originally "Moonstone".
The car is currently located in Surrey, British Columbia, painted Red.

mk1a ex police car JUL390D
hi norman,
I recently purchased the car from bob mcdowel and i plan to restore it back to how it looked when it left the factory, i do have some pictures of the outside of the car of when it was in service but not many, if anyone has any more that would be great!, but i am mainly after pictures of the inside so i can see were equipment (if any) fitted... i.e..
Was the dashboard wooden and steering wheel wooden or bakerlite??
Did it have a police radio (PYE) fitted and were abouts??
Was there a large calibrated speedometer fitted no a mount in the centre of the dashboard??
was there any other modifications on this car??
i do have a large speedo and a radio that bob gave me but i don't know if these are correct
any information is appreciated
thanks dean.

Dean,
If you haven't seen it, check out my story on B382100406 HROFE - NYL 556E. Even though it's a MK II, odds are the interior layout will be very close to what was done with the '66 cars.

police car
hi norman,
i've had a look at the mk11 police car and i now know the speedo i have is correct which i am pleased about as they must be rare... the only other thing is how it was driven with the original speedo in place as they both must have been working to clock up roughly the same milage... maybe a double speedo drive like taxis...
anyway thanks for all the information you have given me
thanks
dean mcgee
p.s I have been reading a copy of your book of norman and i understand they are few and far between, would you have a copy i could possible buy from you?
thanks again dean.
