Convertible Wind Deflector

Following pic I have pinched from an earlier link on the "Events" thread under Team Tiger and what I noticed (apart from a very sweet looking Alpine in a lovely retro colour) is the convertible wind deflector.



Looks a very neat fitting kit, and so I remember some lad in an Alpine at the Rootes spares day at Coventry last year who had one made up on a SV and who suggested that he would build a kit for home fitting. Never did get the lads number and I was mightly impressed with the quality of his work. He designed it such a way that it would fold flat for ease of hardtop/softop use and even easily removed if needed for the extra storage space.

Anybody here have one, know of somebody who has come across one or indeed has the necessary skillset (I haven't!) to build one - or are they actually available from any of the suppliers worldwide.

That looks like a really good idea, would like to buy one if they become readily avaliable.

There have been a few people here in Australia using them to great effect. It's something you could adapt to many classics cars as well. I certainly think it could catch on if they were available.

How are they attached to the car?

Btw, to help any search, I think they are also called wind diffusers.

The Club is in contact with http://www.breezebreaker.co.uk/ as these people have offerred to supply a bespoke to the Tiger 'windstop' screen, roll bar or not.

If they could produce or modify a wind deflector to suit our Tiger's and Alpine's, the price seems very reasonable looking at the Triumph cost. By the way, Paul addition is very stylish
