Inertia Reel Seat Belts

I am looking at ways of fitting retractable seat belts to the Tiger/Alpine.

This would be quite simple for a Mk1A Tiger, but the Mk1 has a hood bin that needs to swing forwards, and its tricky to fit the inertia reel with enough clearance.

Has anyone else fitted this type of belt; if so what did you use? I dont want to re-invent the wheel!

Chris if you have a roll bar you can mount off that.. the other option is to mount them to the rear parcel shelf.. BUT in theory belts should not exceed 10deg up or down from parallel to your shoulders otherwise in the event of an accident they pull your body down and damage your back.

I have found a position, about 20cm forward of the normal anchor point on the wheel arch where I can fit the reel. When you tip the hood bin forwards it just clears. I can make up a steel strap to extend the mounting point. This is slighlty below shoulder leve but within the specified angle.

There isnt really a parcel shelf on the Tiger and there doesnt seem to be much space behing the bin.
