Boot Panels

Post by martin172 » Mon Sep 13, 2010 10:06 am

Hi everyone,

Does anyone happen to have some photos of the 2 boards that fit at each side of the boot and the 2 smaller rectangular ones that cover the petrol pipes at the back?

At some point in their history, probably when the car was waxoyled, the ones on my car have had bits torn off of them and been bent and cracked , particularly the driver's side one that has a fair sized chunk missing where the hinge goes through and I would like to repair them somehow if possible, and the pics would help me restore the correct shape. I'd like to keep the original panels if at all possible you see.
It will help me save a few pennies. :D

Pics from both sides would be ideal.

Also, does anyone know why the boot board has a sort of elongated crescent cut out of it at the rear lefthand corner as you look into the boot?
I was planning on revinyling it at some point and can't figure out what it is there for.
Mine has this cutout, but the vinyl has a square corner if you see what I mean.

Thanks, Martin.
