Hi,
Has anyone revinyled their dashboard top?

If so, how did you get on?
Is it easy or hard and does anyone know where you can get vinyl covering from that matches up well to the original?

Most people just buy a new dashtop but you can get materials from wollies trim and you will probably need a heat gun to help stretch the fabric?

Hi Ash, I thought I'd have a bash at recovering it as I have nothing to lose really if most people replace it anyway.
Thanks for the Woolies info too. I didn't know they existed.

If I don't completely bugger it up, I may do a how to on it.
Why do I feel that disaster awaits lol.

Well, thanks for the vote of confidence mate.

The last time I set fire to a car wasn't my fault.
A guy on a car forum said brazing the fuel tank would be ok.

I went to Woolies yesterday (thanks for the info Ash!) and got a load of supplies.
It was a bit of a trek, but a Little Chef stop on the way helped.
I highly recommend the Beef and Ale pie, mushy peas and chips.

The place is great and the people who work there are really friendly.
They have everything you could possibly ask for including lots of good advice.

I'll and post some pictures of my trimming skills if anyone is interested.

It could be a few retrimmed panels or a burning cinder.
