bonnet safety catch

The bonnet safety catch is not releasing and cannot gain access to release it.

You will have to reach into the grille and loosen the hinge bolts. Once you get it open, loosen and adjust the pin and latch, so that the pin is centered properly (use plastercine?) and re-tighten. Good luck!

Try pushing down on the bonnet in the vicinity of the catch whilst someone else pulls the bonnet release?

It may need some adjustment.

Once you do get it open add a lanyard wire to the mechanism as a safety measure.

Thanks for suggestions: Pressing down to ease pressure on catch was not successful. I am attempting to undo bolts on front hinges. Making slow progress so far, I've released 2 from each side but access very difficult as the electric fan and air horn are restricting spanner or socket access.
