Front suspension

Post by paulw » Tue Mar 28, 2017 7:59 am

Hi all before I start a front suspension rebuild would it be better to build it on the car or just drop it all as a new rack is going on as well, and anyone know a company that does a vented brake kit thanks in advance

Might be easier to build it on the car as the subframe is an awkward shape.

Try Hi-Spec for a vented front brake kit.

Hi thanks chaps
I did ring rally design and they have the wildwood conversation and they said it is a straight bolt on job but looking at the pics of yours tim it still needs a bit of work unless it's been altered a bit, have rung hi spec but they never get back to me .

Thanks paul

Paul. yes there is a wilwood conversion which will bolt straight on. I made my own for half the price. hope that clears up any confusion. I would take the X member off the car. I didn't know mine was bent until I got it off and could measure it up properly. you can also strengthen the week areas and paint it

Hi Tim
Yes the plan is to put a genuine rack on as well I already have that and a coat of paint on it to, the wildwood conversation is one they have made up as far as I am aware it just uses wildwood calipers.

Paul. If you goggle wildwood there is a kit for the tiger, much the same as the highsec kit, RD as agents for wildwood can source the kit from the USA I took my spindle and calipar to RD any Andy the boss sourced the parts off the shelf for my needs, now they may have developed my design into there own kit.!!
