Change oil inlet manifold

Post by meadowhog » Fri Apr 08, 2016 6:25 pm

Guys can I get away without changing the oil if I swap inlet manifolds? I've just changed the oil but now decided to fit my f4b instead of having that silly street master high riser

Cant see why not, oil only flows under the inlet manifold while the engine is running. Changing the inlet manifold will not need an oil change however if you are changing the top of the engine, maybe an oil change is in order.

Sounds good, last time I had the manifold off though there was some risidual water that dripp into the valley when I lifted it off' I don't know if it's anything to worry about or whether there is a way of removing all water before lifting it off. Changing the oil or even draining oil before removal isn't really mentioned often on other sites
