Fuel Pump pipe union thread

Can anyone please tell me what the thread is on the fuel pipes that connect to the SU fuel pump, as fitted to a MK 1 Tiger?

I have had a weeping connection from the tank since fitting a new pump. I've tried everything to stop the old connection from leaking. So last week I ordered brand new unions, fibre washers and "O" rings from Burlen.

I took the pump off today and took out the old union which was made of steel. The new (brass) union connected perfectly to the pump but would not connect to the original brass nut on the fuel pipe.

I measured the thread O/D and the new one is 12.98mm the old 12.65mm (1/2").

Burlen said that the union they supplied was the correct one for the pump.

The A/F nut on the old fitting was 13/16", the new one 18mm.
