Ethanol in fuel

Post by tigerman7347 » Mon May 26, 2014 9:08 am

Having a fuel filter is a must these days as the Ethanol in the Petrol is taking small flakes from the fuel tanks and into the fuel lines. Has anyone fitted one before the Fuel Pump? I take it you would need a Stop Cock fitted as well to clean it out?

Cheers

Yep, I've got one before the fuel pump. It certainly gets mucked up so a useful idea. Have another before the carb.

I pinch the rubber line with mole-grips which works for me. I don't think I'd want to rely on a small stop-cock, and may restrict or is something elso to go wrong.

Take a leaf out of BigBob's book - keep the Tiger simple, less to go wrong :D :D
