Clutch master cylinder bore

Can anyone tell me the bore of the clutch master cylinder?

Hi Rob,
Clutch master cyl is 5/8" or .625
Girling cyls are readily avaliable new,from the usual suppliers,if re sealing an old cyl,may not be cost effective as piston will score bore over time.

Hi David,
who are the usual suppliers as one of these is on my shopping list at some point.
Mine has died due to a nest of corrosion pitting.

Thanks Red baron. I thought they were 0.75 inch? Or is that too big? I think I may have a clutch that is too heavy.

Sorry, basically I am asking because I have a new one with 3/4" bore. Is this ok to use?

Hi Rob,
you can use the 0.75 or 3/4" clutch master cyl,what you will have is a heavier feel as you are trying to push more fluid,it will alter the "bite point".
The 5/8" cyl works fine,without giving to much of a heavy feel.

Do know what clutch you have fitted ?,even very heavy clutch covers will operate with these cyls,at the expense of a short life for the seals.
