Can anyone tell me why it takes so long for the fuel gauge to come up to speed! Does it need overhauling or is this the way it will always be?

I don't know if this is of much help but mine took approx 30sec to get to the 4 gal mark.

Wish mine went down a bit slower. Worked it out at 120mph it's costing me £1 a min in fuel!!

In all the 30 years I've been involved its always been slow. I've put it down to the technology not being able to cope with petrol sloshing around in the
Tank. If we're fast the gauge would show wildly different readings every time you went round a corner, brake or the fun bit.

At 210mph, I don't know what that would be costing me. I'm getting 100 miles per tank and it doesn't have holes in like yours Bob

With Bob doing 12 mpg and meadowhog doing 9 mpg, there must be plenty of Tiger owners thinking that their fuel consumption is not that bad after all.

Any other offers for personal mpg figures?

Well the sun was shining the birds were singing and Tigga was restless, again ( so was my right foot ).

I filled the tanks up so I couldn't get anymore in drove it for 130km over the hills and plains and filled up again until I could get no more in. I used 17 litres. I was going to just cruise it but there were a couple of people with the audacity to think they could out gun Tigga on the hills   . They were soon to become specs in the rear view mirror.

According to my calculations that is 21.6mpg which is pretty good really.
