Can anyone recommend a decent set of spark plugs?

Thanks Rob

I have always used NGK plugs and I can recommend them.

I used NGK APR6FS in my old 260 and 289 with OEM cast iron heads.

In my 302 with Edelbrock Performer RPM heads (#60229), I use NGK BCPR6ES.

I always use Copperslip or similar on the steel spark plug threads to avoid galling in aluminium heads. There are roughly 12 full threads on the above plugs and they can be done up their full length very easily just using your fingers.

So, if you are installing a plug with the engine in the car and you find firm resistance after about one turn, STOP immediately! Do NOT get the plug spanner and ratchet to overcome the resistance because you have probably started to cross-thread the plug!
If that is the case, use a suitable tap and very, very carefully find the original thread.
