Temp gauge

Post by Mal » Sat Jun 15, 2013 1:41 am

The temp gauge has two terminals on which connects to the sender and the other that connects to the voltage stabiliser. I am not sure which one goes to where, or doesn't it matter.

As you sit in the driver's seat and look at the dashboard, the green & blue wire is on the LHS of the WTG and the light green wire is on the RHS of the WTG.
Naturally, when you are lying on your back and gazing up at the WTG, these wires will be reversed left and right, if you get my meaning.

Thanks V8 Burble. I had them the wrong way around, but I am still getting the same reading of 97 deg C. Engine doesn't seem to be getting overly hot though.

The gauge should work when connected either way. The gauge reading may be in error if the regulator or the sender are out of limits, also the gauge itself may be inaccurate, they are very crude devices.
