Which indicator stalk with horn?

Post by meadowhog » Sat Dec 01, 2012 11:24 pm

An old works Alpine I used to have, had an indicator stalk with a horn switch on the end. It worked by pushing the end in. Does anyone know what it could have been? I thought it was a MKII cortina. I might use the overdrive switch as recentley sugested.

I'm changing to a Motolita Cobra wheel and dont want the horn push hub.

Hi,
I'm new to tigers but my familiar with old 105e ford anglias and mk1 cortinas. Both used to have a horn push on the indicator stalk whilst the other side was high/low beam. I'm not sure if they carried on with this in the mk 2 cortina.

Hi Maxtwee and welcome,

I believe you have hit the nail on the head, good spot. I know remember the metal button on the end. Nice but not at that price.

Ive been PM'd another option, the Austin Mini MKII, which looks pretty good too at half the price.

Hope to hear a bit more about your involvement with the addiction.

Be aware that the Hunter unit clamps to a 1.25" Dia shaft and may be difficult to adapt to Tiger / Alpine shaft ( approx 1.625") also clearance in original column shroud may be a problem
