Checked your battery condition recently?

I thought that my battery was in good condition until I had it tested, revealing a duff cell. Your local garage can test your battery for you, or alternatively buy yourself one of these battery drop testers:

I recommend getting a new battery which has high ratings for both amp-hours (Ah) and cold cranking amps (CCA), such as this Type 096 Varta E38 Silver Dynamic.

The E38 is rated at 74 Ah and a CCA of 750A. Dimensions (L x W x H): 278 x175 x175mm.

The Varta E38 also comes with a 5 year warranty for £83.47 including carriage.

This is an excellent deal compared to Halfords who sell a similar Bosch HSB096 battery rated at 77Ah with a CCA of 780A for £126.99. This also has a 5 year warranty. Dimensions (L x W x H): 278 x175 x190mm.
