Right, I have a unilite dizzy , unilite ballast resistor and a unilite coil. So why is the coil failing ? Wiring is ok. Any suggestions?

Hi Rob,

How old is the coil? It sounds like it has developed an internal fault. You could try replacing the ballast resistor or re-terminate the connections to the resistor. Is it the correct coil for a ballast style ignition system?

Hi, coil is less than 2 years old,probably only covered 4000 miles.
