Rear disc brake conversion

Post by V8 burble » Sun Mar 11, 2012 10:21 am

I recently came across this article for a rear disc conversion on a Reliant Scimitar, which also uses the Salisbury 4HA axle:

Thanks for the post and another option when it comes to rear disc conversions. However it would have been nice for the author to go into a bit more detail with the conversion.

I have gone down the Mazda RX7 path, getting harder to find a good set of discs/calipers etc. Can be done and I found the adapter plates from our US friends.

The other good thing about this conversion is that there is a very good article explaining the installation, including a drawing for the adaptor plate.
