Rear Wheel spacers

Post by Tigerfan » Thu Jan 12, 2012 4:59 pm

Hi all,
My car is fitted with Minilite type alloy wheels, all with the same offset.
Whilst looking great on the front, the rear looks anorexic .

Does anybody know of a source of wheel spacers, possibly about an inch, thick. Ideally the bolt on ones would be great so as not to have to remove the hubs/halfshafts to fit long wheel studs.

Regards
Rich

It is easy to change to longer studs if you drill a 3/4" hole in the brake back plate in line with studs. Can then change studs without pulling 1/2 shafts etc.
Or if you use a spacer with sleeved wheel nuts, then keep existing studs.Make sure that nuts wind on enough, but don't bottom out without fully tightening.

What size tyres are you wanting to run or is it just the look you don't like? By moving out an inch, will you still have clearance with the wheel arch?
