Front disc rotors

Post by gtsmrt » Sun Dec 18, 2011 1:45 am

Hi,

I just checked my old front disc's that were replaced a while back due to brake shudder. They measure at @ 10.6mm and new I think they are supposed to be 13mm from memory. Does anyone know the minimum allowable thickness for the standard Tiger rotors?

Thank you, Robin.

front disc's

I seem to think alpine disc's are 7/16" and tiger disc's are 1/2"

I always thought that the Alpine and Tiger both had the same size discs. Although it would make sense to have the Tiger discs thicker due to the extra weight. Can someone else confirm this please.

Disc rotor allowable thickness

I thought that there was a requirement for the minumum legal thickness of any rotor to be stamped on the outside circumference of the disc. The initial date of this requirement may have been after the Tigers production run. I can't check my rotors right now.
