Koni Adjustable Shock Absorbers

Post by Tim » Wed Aug 17, 2011 9:43 pm

My car has Koni adjustable shocks fitted. I assume that they are adjusted by turning the ring with two holes in at the top of the shock. Where can I get the tool to make this adjustment?

A Google search has told me the tool is called a gland nut tool, but I can't find anywhere in the UK to buy one for a reasonable cost.

Thanks

The original 8210 series Koni part numbers were:
Front 8210-1163
Rear 8210-1164

Look at page 10 of this link for correct adjustment procedure:

Thanks for the link. My front shock absorbers are different to the ones shown on page ten. The only numbers I can find stamped into the body of them are 82 1347 8712. Makes me wonder wonder if they're a different type to the ones normally fitted.

Tim,

In that case try page 7 for the 82 version.

All sorted, thanks very much! The rear shocks were also from the 82 series; 82-134, so were adjusted in the same way.
