I have recently bought a late mk1 forest green basket case tiger JDU 197E which had a light roll in Jan 1976 and has been stored away ever since!

Unfortunately I haven't yet managed to find the name of the 1st owner or who supplied the car when new but have much history which confirms mileage of 42k in Jan 1974.

There is a plaque inside the car from Kirbys ltd who had garages in liverpool. Blackpool, Birkenhead and Southport but not sure why as JDU is a Coventry no.

I know the car has spent time in Sussex between 71-74 and then Preston owned by Gordon Robinson but have not been successful in speaking with him.

If anyone has any information about this car Iwould be very grateful if they could help me?

Many thanks
Ash

You very well know I would love your mk11 Gary but cant afford it mate!

Tiger shell restorable and could make a good car with plenty of work? Lots of history and matching numbers with all the original bits for a change.

I may keep this one and restore it but can you pm me with details of the shell anyway as it will give me some options.

Cheers

You wouldnt know it had been in an accident Gary as it has had new Rootes front wings and valance fitted in the 70s when you could still get them.

If I restore the car it will be concourse and it cost me alot less than £10k to buy it!
