Tiger in Surbiton.....

I have often wondered what happened to a car I saw in a Surbiton Rootes Dealership car park back in early 1970`s.
The story was that this car was involved in some kind of accident & there followed a court case where the judge ruled that this car must remain where it was and never be used again. All sounds a bit strange I know but that's what I remember. Seem to remember the car was white. Anyone know anything about it.
