Team Tiger at Silverstone 30th May

Post by B9471845 » Thu May 28, 2009 10:55 pm

No less than 7 Tigers entered for this Saturday's Intermarque race at Silverstone, including the race debut of Zoe North for Team Tiger in Class C.

Plenty of other track action at this packed event, racing starts at 12h50.

This is a record Tiger turnout for any motor racing event in the U.K and probably anywhere! Extremely Well Done Team Tiger and the best of luck to all of you on the day.

Hi,

Good luck to all involved :) . Can someone post some pictures from the racing or a link to a web site.

Thank you, Robin.

A record number of Tigers entered and unfortunately a record number of retirements too, but hopefully nothing expensive.

Jackie Cochrane qualified on pole by 2 seconds but blew his top hose in the race. Andy Yates unfortunately spun into the gravel on the spillage and was beached. Simon James' new engine has some oil problem which became too risky to continue, and Peter Dod coasted to a halt with what appears to be a fuel pump failure.

Happiest Tiger racer was Zoe North, securing a podium finish (3rd) and Class C win behind Chris Scragg and Bob Searles' V8 Astons, winning a superb close battle with Robert Rawe's DB4 and Stephen Byrne's N24 Vantage. Paul Clayson was also pleased with a Class A win, Tristan Bradfield finished last, pitting due to some alarming warning lights but pressed on to get a result after concluding these were electrical gremlins.

If I figure out how to post images I'll do so, but don't count on it :?

Hi,

Thanks for the post. Hopefully next race will be a bit more eventful. I'm sure someone could assist you with posting some pictures. I would, but I am not sure myself. I would like to them though.

Regards, Robin.

Hi,

Thanks for all the pictures. Some very nice action shots, but a shame about the retirements. There's always next race :) .

Regards, Robin.
