Tiger in the Guards Trophy, Oulton Park, 28th August 2011

Post by B9471845 » Wed Aug 24, 2011 11:09 am

The HSCC have their annual Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park this weekend with a fine array of machinery, and I notice a Tiger racing in the Guards Trophy event, driven by Ewan McIntyre.

I'm not familiar with this car so it would be good to see some pics if anyone can attend.

I presume this is the same car entered for the Spa 6 Hours race by Ewan and Jamie McIntyre this September.

Managed to get meself along to my local race meet, again it rained which made it interesting for the spectators :lol:

Nice to see a new Tiger on the race season, first real race and it was pretty much a "test" session today;

Apologies for being so trigger happy with the old camera, but you will agree it was great to see so many and varied classics :mrgreen:

Thanks a heap for the pictures... what a great field. I like the picture looking through the vent of the Tiger and a big OUCH to the poor E-type.

Looks like number 45 is sporting the latest wrinkles in directed air flow coach work. Is Pressed (guardrail) Steel still in business? :!: Seriously though, it is painful to see classics like this and the e-type get bent like that. Sorry for the owners and thankful its not me and my car.

Cheers, Gene
