Thanks Tom,

Yes I had to have a ring made up for the bell housing. The ones supplied were not right for the early toploader although the bell housing was supposed to come with all the parts for one. That would be my only complaint. Otherwise they are a nice compact bell housing. Thanks for putting me on to them.

I have no boot over the clutch fork. Probably a good idea. Do you know of any that will do the job ?.

I have no boot over the clutch fork. Probably a good idea. Do you know of any that will do the job ?.
Haven't been able to track one down at this point. Lakewood do one but suited to the sharper radius of their housings so probably no ggod on the QT. Might risk the hydraulic throwout option...

Tom. I see there are some nasty bush fires south west of Melbourne and worse in NSW.

I'll try to set up a Restoration section later in the week!!

Hi Graham
Yes unfortunately the Australian summer has turned nasty again - Tasmania particularly badly hit this time around. The Bureau of Met has rejigged it's colour shading maps to cater for 54deg temperatures recorded last week.

Even made news in the old dart...

That'd be a challenge for a Tiger's cooling system.

Thanks for the extra section on restos - I'll try to keep up the good work Mal, Brad and others have done in sharing their resto projects.

Once I fitted the permanent extensions, centred the rack and had the wheels dead ahead I have even turns lock to lock. I didn't need to have more teeth cut into one end of the rack :)

I decided to use some Dynaliner as well up the firewall and where the header collectors are. Dynerlyner is to block heat.

It didn't look to bad from the other side of the road did it.
It had a few rust bubbles coming through and you could see signs of bad repairs.
Never thought it would be as bad as it was.

That and the drivers door would open sometimes going around left hand corners :shock: Now we know why

Mal why are the tie wraps done up differently, i.e. the ribbed section on the smaller ones is on the outside?

I got the exhaust done today. I wanted a cross over tube between the two sides which helps with power and sounds nicer. The rest is the old system. Something which allows me to fire the engine. I will get it redone once the car is up and running.
