New Bumpers

Post by Tim Kemp » Thu Mar 14, 2019 11:52 am

Morning all,

So the restoration of my Tiger is coming on ok. Body is awaiting some work before being painted, and I'm going through all the other bits to get them working / painted / chromed for when it returns.

I seem to have a reasonable collection of bumpers gathered from over the years - but not one of them is properly straight. Has anyone had any luck having them straightened - apparently someone used to have a jig in which to weld two good halves together?

The other option is to get a set of the Vietnamese stainless bumpers as sold by Harringtons - what' the consensus on these - has anyone tried them and how were they?

Thoughts would be appreciated

Tim

I've the S/S ones, seemed ok when i did a trial fit, worked out cheaper than re-plating.
