Door/Wing mirrors

Post by Tigerfan » Thu Feb 22, 2018 8:57 am

Hi Guys,

I am going to fit either door or wing mirrors to my car. The older I get the more difficult it is to twist around in the seat to look behind when reversing :(

I would appreciate any observations that anybody may have to what is best to fit, and whether to fit door or wing mirrors.

There is a range of mirrors on e-bay, some Tex originals, some no doubt Chinese replicas which will possible deteriate pretty quickly in our climate.

Cheers

Rich

Halcyon still make them & you can ask for flat or convex glass.

I have Tex stainless racing style mirrors on my car. No problems with the mirrors at all and they cost only a little more than the chinesse chrome which are junk really.
They fitted them to the doors where the last were fitted but they are there for show only as I can't see out of them. So be carefull where you mount them. On the wings i think would have worked.
