Any idea what the thrust buttons that sit in the indents in the ends of the leaves of the rear springs to reduce friction between the leaves are made of?

It feels like hard rubber, mine are in need of replacement and I wondered what I could make some out of.

I wondered about Nylon or Teflon, any ideas ?
