Hi, as I am converting a LHD Tiger to a RHD, I have only now realised there is a alloy elbow in the lower radiator hose assembly. Anywhere I could obtain one?

I know that there has been 'talk' of these being reproduced. Can't be that difficult to make a casting of an original and have them produced. I know of originals failing so it would be handy for a 'Specialist' to have these copied and manufactured. They have been reproduced in the past, so useful to have on the shelf to keep our Tigers on the road.

Speak to Andy Carter at Sunbeam Spares.

I would make one in stainless steel. A guy not far from me has one he made for his Tiger. Any good engineering firm with a CAD plasma cutter could make and weld up quite quickly. Not sure where you are?,but I know a firm here in Kent would make one. If you get stuck my engine is coming out this winter so I could use mine as a template and have one made, or two

Thanks for the offer however I am in Australia, some distance away. I see Sunbeam spares offer them at 56.60 quid. A bit pricey with our exchange rate.

I know it's all relative, but...

I was actually surprised to see the part listed as available - I'd have them in what the yanks call the (obviously almost) unobtanium bucket. At £56 odd, even if a repro, and even with the AUD/GBP FX rate, that would seem a good price to me (I know, I know, subjective and all that - but have you seen where Tiger prices are heading!!). I'm with Tomaselli - good to keep one on the shelf! BTW - that little pacific shekel we buy our goods and services with is not likely to get any stronger any time soon!

Oh, the last comment is extended with all relevant financial trading disclosures and disclaimers.

As a last aside, and with a bit of taboo, my LHD to RHD Tiger uses a later water pump, exiting to lwr LHS. Changed the radiator to suit, and no squeeeeeeeze around the steering column.

Cheers, Tom

Some elbows are being made but not sure of availability. I would expect them to more than £56, to my mind that's cheap.

I was going to have one at the old price.
I'll manage without now.

When converting my previous car to RHD I borrowed an original and had one sand cast at my local foundry. It may be worth asking a fellow owner nicely if you can borrow onw?

Is the price £56 or £126?

Is there a black Friday price?

Hopefully, I am reliably informed the Elbows are £126 including the VAT

I admit they are not an ideal Xmas pressie but everyone needs one on the shelf!!
