Looking good Lou, will you be setting the engine up on a Rolling Road when your done? Highly recommended, that's if you can find somebody who knows how to get the best out of a Ford Small Block

Hi Tim

Real Steel in Uxbridge London did all the machining, advised on the best choice of parts to give me an engine to my requirements, (as powerful as possible for on road use without being a dog to drive in traffic). They also supplied most of the bits.

Thanks for that; I didn't realise that Real Steel also did machining work.

Finally the car is up and running, drove it for the first time in six months yesterday.

Fitted the engine, gearbox and cross member a few weeks ago, since then everything that could have leaked has. Firstly the rear brake pipe was wrongly supplied, then I cross threaded the brake pipe where it connects to the new master cylinder necessitating removal and re-tapping, then the thermostat housing leaked water and more recently the oil pipes leaked.

So, now to run in the engine and gearbox in time for the Le Mans classic in July.

Rear of car on ramps & front jacked up to give 3 foot of clearance to allow engine to pass beneath front valance.

Headers blasted, sprayed and wrapped prior to fitting.

Hi Lou, its looking good. I like the sump. Good to see we have the same washer bottle, if nothing else under the bonnet. Unfortunately injection plumbing issues mean car wont make this weekend's Sussex GT
