I'm sure I'm over-thinking this, probably just better to wipe it down with solvent-diluted oil once a month while waiting.

But, found this reference http://www.npl.co.uk/upload/pdf/tempora ... ctives.pdf

and then settled on this product http://www.cortecvci.com/Products/single.php?code=10051

Any concerns come to mind?

I've used Duck oil in the past, its silicone free which is ideal if you plan to paint the car yourself.

Should be back home soon to continue the restoration after being in Africa for 2 over months.

Always has a soft spot for GT6s.
Has it got any of the factory options like overdrive, rear seat, tints?

Overdrive, tints & a set of triple dellortos to fit soon.
Rear seats have no place in a sports car :-)

The Sprite is heavily modified & a lunatic, the GT6 more refined.

Bit of progress in the cold garage this afternoon, slowly getting used to the rust killer.

Image

For some reason i have a lot of holes in the front wing & the usual Tiger badge holes have been brazed over.

Image

Lastly, a diamond on holes at each rear wing, anyone know what they are for?

Perhaps the holes in the rear wings were for reversing lights like mine had on.

Can't find any reversing lights that suit that hole pattern.

A picture of todays progress, getting the hang of the rust killer now, it needs to go on wet & stay wet.

Bit more progress today, despite the garage being -3 degrees first thing this morning.

Heres the passengers side having the 4th coat of rust killer.

and afterwards the start of bare metal coming through.

Passengers side nearly getting done.

Just realised a bit of sanding paper is covering the bit you want to look at, i'll take another in the morning, its too cold to venture out now.
