Brad seems like a resourceful sort so I'm surprised he didnt hang a few components up the and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. :)

It was my own fault really as i was feathering the nozzle valve to go gently, then i went to shut it off i'd shot blasted the ball valve internals so it didn't, was too busy trying to get off ladder without shotblasting the flourescent light to do the ceiling properly.

Had a go at the inner wing, not got it quite right yet, also the end panel finisher doesn't fit the new repair section as well as the old, so that'll need redone.

Opened these today, impressed with the quality & must be worth 5HP (each) down the pub.

I've always thought Rare Red was the most powerfull colour, going for forest green this time, bit of a sleeper colour i think.

I was actually talking about painting the rocker covers black. But now you mention it.

You are right , a few 'bashful' folk but plenty of help is at hand as somebody will have the answer you are looking for.

Certainly looking good Brad, you must be very pleased with the result so far. Keep the updates coming in, they are great to see 8)

Funnily enough Simon, I spoke to Image Wheels last only last week on recommendation. They certainly have an impressive choice.

I was mildy dissapointed at MiniLites as they have a very limited offering, and not prepared to accomodate any special requests. On the other hand, Image were very friendly.

Getting there, i'll be happy when it's in paint, as welding work is always a low point in a project, you never know what your going to find.

Remade a couple of sections to get a better fit as the previous ones were copies of the originals which i now know had been chopped around. Bit of a pain getting the inner wing right as the outer wing had to be fitted every time.

Anyway just about ready for a spray of weld through primer then welding.

I've read that i need to stiffen up the front spring hangers, is there a tried & tested best way to do this?

When I spoke to Minilite at the NEC about there new 16x7" wheels I asked if they did a 30mm offset which is the same as the Panasport. The abrupt reply I got was "no only 15mm max but you should be ok as we are only talking about 15mm difference!"

Ok I will just buy wheels that protrude then shall I?

Not impressed! :x

Those Image wheels are beutifull. If they are a 3 piece wheel you can have them made with the correct off set to fill in the rear wheel arch perfectly.

Front suspension can be a problem on the top of spring. Heres a link to a previous STOC chat. Should be all you need.

Brad

Excellent front spring hanger reinforcement guidance here. Tom Hall's work is well tried and tested! http://www.tigerengineering.net/TECHTIP ... cement.pdf

Seems to me your Tiger could do with a page in "The TIGER50 Book" of Sunbeam Tigers!!
