I'm sure I'm over-thinking this, probably just better to wipe it down with solvent-diluted oil once a month while waiting.
But, found this reference http://www.npl.co.uk/upload/pdf/tempora ... ctives.pdf
and then settled on this product http://www.cortecvci.com/Products/single.php?code=10051
Any concerns come to mind?

I've used Duck oil in the past, its silicone free which is ideal if you plan to paint the car yourself.

Should be back home soon to continue the restoration after being in Africa for 2 over months.

Wilbur,
some pics as you requested, may be an idea for you to start a Wilbur Tiger thread, we seem to be doing the same thing,
cheers
Brad

Just realised a bit of sanding paper is covering the bit you want to look at, i'll take another in the morning, its too cold to venture out now.
