South African Tiger
This is the Classified posted to the site last fall by the then SA owner:
MK1. B9480020 FEWSO 1965– Imported from South Africa in May 2008. 302 engine, new Holley 600 carb, new Mallory electronic ignition, new Torque starter, new mohair soft top, 5 Speed GETRAG gearbox, hard top, MG quickrack conversion, completely overhauled front suspension (polybushes), aluminium radiator. MOT April 2010. £17,500. Reason for selling: Returning to South Africa prematurely.
If you aren't familiar with the South African Tiger then in brief: 73 CKD (knock down) kits were shipped by the Rootes Group to South Africa where they were assembled in 1965 - Chassis Numbers: B9480001 to B9480073. Over the years these Tigers have leaked out of the country into Europe and beyond. STOC knows of 9 examples in the UK. This one was a personal import by the previous owner.
As you can gather the engine and gearbox have been changed for newer components and much equipment has been uprated. Catch up with the Classic & sportscar mag review but if you do not know the Tiger well consider having it inspected by some one who does.

South African Tiger
If the Tiger is being handled by Godin Banks that places it in Kent. Give me a call on 01483 282865 and I'll give you contact details of a couple of members willing to inspect the car with / for you.
