I run 14x6 on my alpine and tiger.. i have 195/60/14's .. i would go to 15" wheels as 14" tyres are now getting harder to find.. the reason i switched from 13 -14... i guess i will end up 14 - 15 at some point.

Hi i run 15" by 6 miniliets, with 205/50/15 tyres, on standard wheel they are a perfect fit on rear. but stick out slightly on front, so u need to get 20mm recess/offset for the front's, then they will allso take the 205/50/15 tyre, but may be slightly better with 195/50/15. The other option is the panasport minilite replica, avalable with the corect offset for tiger, small prob being i think they are only avalable in the states, there is a chap on us ebay who says he will ship, but don't know if thats an option. to give you a better idea, the pale blue 30k tiger in classifieds is fitted with 16" panasport wheels, obviously with correct offset for size of tyre. hope that helps. Harry

Going up in wheel size does give the Tiger a more modern look, but its a matter of personal preference really. I run 185x60R14 on 5.5 wheels at the moment, and I would like some 7 inch wide Minilite wheels for the rear but they seem unavailable in 14x7. Going up to 15 inch would give a wider choice of wheel and tyre sizes I guess.paulw wrote:Hi thanks i will look into the 15 inch option ,do they look ok with the 50 series tyres not to low profile looking for the car,
thanks

I'm biased, but love the 15x6 revolution 5 spokes on my car. Fill the arches ok, good choice of tyres, & can run Brembo brakes inside. Plus everyone run Minilites or Panasports.

In the UK IMAGE wheels make a great BRM wheel copy as used on late GT40's .. look good on the tiger... the BRM image wheels are the bottom 2 images.. the halibrand kidney bean (hollywood sports car style) are the top.. and the 14x6 panasports are whats on my car .. if i wasnt in australia and postage wasnt so much.. id grad the grey BRM's

Hi Paul,
I personally have not fitted minilites, but they are available in 15" x 6.5 for the Tiger's. With every rim, as long as the offset is OK and if you use a wider rim/tyre you may need to trim the inner guard/lip. Performance wheels have a 7" wide x 15" rim.
Regards, Robin.

Do you have any problems with tyre rub . If you are running a 8" wide tyre on a 6" wide rim with no problems, then you would think you could do the same with a 7" rim with the benifit of less tyre deflection which should lessen the risk of tyre rub. Looks as though 6" wide on the front is the max width on a standard body.
Cheers Mal
