HVK 762C Fraudulent Tiger on E-Bay

Post by garyf » Thu Nov 22, 2018 2:19 pm

I've just had my usual Lunchtime look on E-Bay and noticed yet another Fraudulent listing for a Tiger Registration HVK 762C!!

This particular seller (MANIEKMR) has numerous Sunbeams and Triumph cars listed (No doubt other makes too?)

I have reported the Tiger and a number of the others to E-Bay, this fraudulent listing practice has been going on for a number of years but seems to be getting more and more common on the E-Bay and Car and Classic sites, typical signs are very cheap buy it now prices and only one Photo listed, with statements like selling on behalf of a family member?

Be careful out there if your on the lookout for a Classic Car.

Regards

Gary

Yes, that scammer doesn't stop . EBay can't take them down fast enough. Its amazing that such dumb stupid listings still take in folk.
I mean, the car is in the Orkney Islands, the vendor in Italy and is wanting cash in advance!!!

The commercial vendor websites are not screening listings properly - especially for the clowns posting multi low price scams. Also noticed the number of 'honey trap' listings is on the increase. The ones where the car listed is not their's to sell and callers are told its sold but we will find what you want... for a fat fee!!

It's still on E-Bay but now the seller is NIGHTRIDER0_15?

I've reported this one to E-Bay as fraudulent too and also a number of Alpines listed by the same seller (SCAMMER).

You would think E-Bay would have thought of a way to try and stop this by now, or if not stop, to reduce these Scams.

Interesting that you can see the listing Gary. When I click on it, it takes me to "a can't find this one" page. Weird.

Seems like its still there , now the seller is oldgarage43? Check out his other items, a load of cars / bikes , strangely enough in Italy!! Its difficult to believe that anybody would fall for this obvious scam.
