Book Review - How to Photograph Cars

Post by pushrod » Fri Mar 10, 2017 2:53 pm

Leading photographer James Mann has recently released an updated version of his book “How to Photograph Cars”, first published in 2002. James is one of the world’s leading photographers and regularly contributes for Classic & Sportscar, Autocar and MotorSport. James has recently conducted a photoshoot of Graham Vickery’s Mk2 Tiger and my own 63 Ford Falcon Sprint.

Most of us aspire to be able to capture our cars and other classics in the best situations. This book is a superb aid to help us improve our photographic skills.
I particularly liked the suggestion for under bonnet shots that “V8’s are best photographed from the front due to their symmetry”, quite relevant for us Tiger owners.
You can obtain a copy of the book via the usual online retailers or direct from the website: www.howtophotographcars.co.uk To get 20% discount off the £19.99 RRP email info@howtophtographcars.co.uk quoting your STOC membership number, name and address. Payment ideally via PayPal
