To all 'HRO' home market Tigers. Don't forget the first right hand drive Tigers began going down the Jensen production line in January.

Probably the lowest British production Tiger chassis number - B9471830 HRO has a Jensen date of 18th January 1965.
When's the 50th Birthday of your Tiger?

Don't know? Drop the Club an email and we'll tell you!

Or post a birthday photo of your Tiger!!

Mine's been and gone. I believe that B9472417 HROFE (AKA JLX622D) came off the Jenson production line on the 5th February 1965.

I've treated it to a complete new interior for it's 50th. :-)

Harry. There is no clear information around what determined the sequence order of completion dates seen in the Jensen Ledgers.

There are some guesses. One is that the choice of paint code made a difference. The factory mainly ordered for stock in batches e.g 6 x carnival red & 6 x arctic white and in between there were specific customer orders e.g. someone wanting 'Moonstone' or an uncommon code. Rigging the paint shop at Pressed Steel for the odd 'Moonstone' could have meant that car being held up, while the stock orders went through.

B9472978 HRO celebrated its 50th on the 11th March with a cake and 50 candles (well its owner did anyway). Didn't think it would appreciate the champagne but gave it a nice refurbished hard top as a birthday present which was just finished in time!
